JON CROOK
Film Editor
I am a freelance film editor based in London with experience in both documentary and fiction. I graduated with an MA in Editing from the National Film and Television School, for which I was awarded a BAFTA Scholarship.
Most recently, I worked on the Netflix series Break Point as an assembly editor, and I have previously worked as an assembly editor on Amazon Prime's four-part feature documentary, Pistorius.
I have edited films that have screened internationally at Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, Aesthetica, Slamdance, Hot Docs and LSFF, among others, and have won the Grand Jury Prize at Aspen ShortsFest, the IMDb New Filmmaker Award and Yorkshire Short Film Award at Leeds International Film Festival.
I am fascinated by the human condition, and as an editor I aim to collaborate with directors and producers to tell engaging stories, with integrity, in a compelling way. I started editing whilst studying Social Anthropology at SOAS, University of London. When I'm not in the edit suite, you will probably find me walking my Siberian Husky, Rico.
